    Default Piranesi: dead or alive?

    Hi
I have a pro Piranesi 6.02 Mac OS and I would like to know if we have a chance to see an update one day or development is closed definitely ?
This soft cost me 568€; when you buy a soft you expect to have some improvments.
I love Piranesi but it needs to get better or at least bugs found in Lion being revised.

    Regards

I posted this same question when they came out with a plugin for Revit that didn't entirely work. Problem with transparencies. I watch this board often and don't see much traffic or development. I too, would also like a clear answer as to where this program is going. For me, it should work seamlessly with Revit in order to be a viable architectural program. SketchUp is fine but it doesn't have the weight that Revit does in the Arch community. Waiting!

Seems like further development has gone off the abyss. This is a disappointing direction for such a fine program and those in the know are either unwilling or unable to provide users with a statement of direction. Sorry to see it go this way.

    Hey,
Today, exactly one year passed since Mr.Nagashima's last statement regarding the future of Piranesi and Micro GDS. We have been waiting for something to come, but very few improvements were made so far. It's natural that the users ask about the future of Informatix products, but no need for being so pessimistic.
Piranesi is a fairly nice and developed software which can still take a lot of improvements, so i think somehow it is going to stay alive.

"pessimistic"?? A nearly deaf forum during one full year, no updates, no news, nothing about bugs on Lion... Piranesi needs improvments, nobody is perfect! Have a look on other cad ( or any ones) softwares about updates you will notice the difference and the reason of my post.
    Happy new year!

    Thomas and Nil,

Yeah. You're right, there's no evidence of progress currently. But Piranesi is a unique program which is not a clone, so even though Informatix gives up at some point, apparently a new company would take over it.
I mean, sooner or later there'll be improvements.
Happy new year, by the way.

    That's called "optimistic"
