Hi brother.
First, welcome to the wonderful world of Piranesi.
Greece ...
beginning of western civilization as we know it today and owns one of
the most beautiful architecture in Europe
About the texture of aluminum on the kitchen fridge, I believe that this
is a simple texture applied directly on the sketchup model. In the
debugger air above the stove the texture of stainless steel was worked
on with Piranesi brushs. It was a slow and patient work to achieve the
desired look of polished metal.
I advise you to study the representation of key materials such as wood,
metal, stone, cloth, leather, and how to style them as much as possible.
Always looking for the same way as if they had made by hand.
The lines are a special part of my job. It was another step that I added
recently to the process that I use in my renderings. If you are a sketchup
user I imagine you are familiar with the styles. Well ... I am now using a
style from FormFonts for the edges. Itīs very interesting that associated
with the tool EDGES (native from Piranesi). With them I has effects trace
the hand that you observed in the dental office.
Please learn more about the work done with Piranesi by the canadian David
Walker and especially the work of the chinese artist Wang. That is undoubtedly
the greatest artist of this forum. Both excellent references to all us in love with
illustration of architecture. Know also the theory of Michael Doyle, Bert
Monroy and Jim Leggitt.
I hope this can help you find what you seek.
Long Live Piranesi
