I've created a rendering in Revit, and exported the FBX file, then created my epix in Vedute (same pixel size as the rendered image). Now when I import the Revit jpg over the epix they are slightly out of alignment. Has anyone encountered this and how to fix it?
Is it just because I exported a jpg instead of png from Revit?? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Please excuse me if i have missed some good examples. I have seen some amazing examples of using Piranesi but they mostly appear to be using the Piranesi's tree/plant cutouts.

Just wondering if anyone is using trees or plants from sketchup and painting them in Piranesi? or is this too laborious?

I've looked at loads of possible hosting sites and think this may be the best so far.

Please let me know your opinion of the site, if the feed-back is positive I will continue loading the rest of the objects.

The library is currently 8.31 GB and consists of 8,697 Files in 1,888 Folders so I'd like to make sure it is easilly accessed before I commit too much time to uploading!

running thru the tutorial and came across the section on lighting...also tried running a test with a very simple sketchup model, exporting to epix and starting afresh

can't seem to get the lighting cone to appear on the spot. after creating the spot, clicked on radial fade and adjusted 3d linear source to match up with the spot (settings on attachments)

Starting to run through the tutorials - sure are a lot of things you can do with Piranesi!

In trying to set up a new style library in Tutorial 6, I noticed that the 2 styles of the tutorial are showing up w/ diagonal lines instead of a thumbnail image (see attached), though the texture appears at the top in the texture tool options...as both the path to the Piranesi folders are locked and it is recommended to place additional user folders/files elsewhere, the new style library resides along a different path...the only other place that the diagonal lines occur is the Whistle Stop Tour, the 01 Re-Render texture thumbnail.

Did I load something wrong? Thanks in advance!

Im using Autocad Architecture 2009 and when I use the epix.lsp routine it renders out fine but then I get two errors, can't find Vedute and cant find Piranesi, yet both are on my system(using Piranesi 5.0.2) my suspiicion is that I have the program files located in a folder (infomatix) in c:programs but was wondering if anyone else has had this trouble. Once the error hits then I don't get the epix file.

Interestingly, when a skp file is opened, all of the surface maps are preserved and will render. This is true even after it is saved as a MAN file.

However, once this file is imported into a CPJ, it loses its maps, and everything goes black. I am thinking that it has to do with the way materials are referenced.

If anyone has an idea I would love to hear it.

Just got Piranesi 2010 Pro and excited to start up. Looking on the forum, there are a lot of artists out there and I've been enjoying look at your work!

Kind of got here in a round about way, starting with an underpowered graphics card...in a "stream of consciousness" route about the internet, came across Piranesi and WOW...really looking forward to going through the tutorials and trying to get up to speed...

Just loaded up 64-bit 2010 Pro but I think what I should have done was wipe everything clean first, uninstall the 32-bit and 2010 Lite, as it seems there are some residual file paths to the old folders...also installed the 1Gig data set but not sure what is different...the only thing I noticed was that the "Retail" was cleared when registering...

Would I be able to identify something that was on the data set that shows up in the libraries such that I would know that the data set installed correctly?
