Through experimentation I came up with this colored pencil effect. I'll post the style settings if there is interest.

I like the look and would be very interested in your sharing your style information.

Neal,
Rather than list each setting I have attached the styles for folks to download. Place them in Program Files\Informatix\Piranesi 4.0\Style Libraries.

Hi --
Forgive my ignorance, but I downloaded your styles and can't use them in Piranesi. I would like the settings, it is an interesting effect. If you could give any help, I would appreciate it.
For informational purposes, I have Piranesi 4.0 for Macintosh. I get two files from your download, one is labeled Pencil Styles.psb and the other is Pencil Styles.psf. My system won't open either file type (whether in Piranesi, Photoshop, or any other program I've got).
Thanks for your time and knowledge.

Hi Jayson

Piranesi style libraries are stored in a different format on Mac. I've converted Thomas' styles to "Pencil Styles.xml" which you can add to your Style Browser on Mac with Style->Library->Open.

Thank you for doing that. I thought that might be the problem, but had no way of knowing, nor any way to correct it myself. Anyway, thanks.

Hi,
I put the files in the Style Library but they don't show up
On the Style Browser menu, use Library/Open to open the "Pencil Styles.psf" file, then you'll see a new "Pencil Styles" library in the style browser.

David

Hi, the style uses an image file from the retail version of Piranesi. If you only have the demo version, you could try using a similar file - this one has hand-drawn wavy lines, like a wood grain.

I filled the image with white, found the edges with black then used Thomas's style in black on the various planes, exported a PNG then used the coloured pencil grain style from tutorial 9
Voila
