Piranesi styles error file format not supported

When trying to use any style that is a .png or a .tiff, it pops up "file format not supported". If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Piranesi does support PNG and TIFF files. Zero-length or invalid files would give an error like this.

Check the files in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer - if they're ok, please email me with
- your Piranesi version number
- which operating system you have
- what you're doing when this happens, and
- the name of a file that does this, or an example if it's not on the Piranesi CD
