Hello, I'm also new to Piranesi. I have been going through the tutorials looking for a way to create pencil or colored pencil effects, but no luck yet! Let me know if you find anything.
Thanks

A good Photoshop plug-in (Windows only!) is available at http://www.littleinkpot.co.uk/Index.htm
There's also some free stuff there. Have a play.

Hi, Dave

Ur recommendation is good!
I tried with those plugins. It seems to be a good partner to piranesi.

Hi, Aggie

I come across a way to realize this just in Piranesi.

Let's see

First, import an image which you want to turn into sketch like image.

2. using tint to turn this image into black and white, and then save it as a jpg file, say, named grain.

3. fill all the image in white;

4. set the former black and white image as raster grain;

5. check ink mode, and choose Painter, setting as below

then, just use the painter. Remenber: do change the angle of the painter after each paint. So you can get some cross-hatch effect.

Also, if we have the interest, we can use different fade mode to help us to get more inspirational effect.

Have a fun:)

see, let's just mix the image with original one.

Get a different effect.
