Is there a way to export styles, so another user can use them? It would be for another Piranesi user outside my office.

Hi David
Is there a way to export styles, so another user can use them? It would be for another Piranesi user outside my office.
You can share style libraries (which store all the settings for a style) together with any raster files used by cutouts, textures etc.
I'd create a new style library, with Library/New/Style Library on the Style Manager menu. Then copy-and-paste from existing styles, or set up a style and save it as a new style in this library.
Or you could try the Style Recorder, which lets you save recorded styles to the library, then delete the ones you don't want.
After this, close the library (Library/Close) and zip up the library files and any raster files. On Windows, there are two files for a library (*.psf and *.psb). On Mac there's a single xml file.
The other Piranesi user can use Library/Open to open the style file, then apply the styles.
Piranesi will prompt if it can't find the raster files in the same folder as on your machine (the system libraries use aliases to the folder containing the raster files, which makes this easier).
Hope this helps!

Thank you, very much. I couldn't find it at first, becuase it was in 4.0 folder.
I also am understanding the difference between a Style Library, Catagory and a Style.
So the .PSF and .PSB only have alias to the texture, correct? The firm I give this to would need to point to an existing texture, or if it was one I made, I would have to give it to them and they would need to point to it when prompted, correct?

Yes, the PSF stores the filename so you need to supply all your texture files too. Have them put your texture files in the same folder as on your machine, or use a Piranesi alias to this folder.
With an aliased filename such as "<DP>texture.png", Piranesi asks for the location of "DP" just once. But if the filename is "c:\dp\texture.png" and they used a different folder, Piranesi will ask every time the style is applied.
To change the filename for an existing style, apply the style, update the filename, then use new-style and overwrite. (Or carefully edit the PSF file in Notepad and look for lines with Filename).
And to test all the filenames, use Update Thumbnails for the library.

David
